Create a historically accurate 1906...
Create a historically accurate 1906 American skyscraper construction derrick crane. NOT a modern tower crane. Design a large fixed derrick mounted on the exposed steel frame of a skyscraper under construction. Use dark riveted structural steel, with a tall open mast made from four main beams and diagonal cross-bracing. The main feature is a large angled derrick boom, approximately 30–40 blocks long, projecting outward from the mast. Make the boom a heavy steel truss, wider and stronger near its base and tapering toward the end. Add several visible tension cables/guy wires supporting the boom. At the boom's end, add a long vertical lifting cable with a heavy steel hook. At the top of the mast, include a simple mechanical pivot and rotating assembly. Add an open operator platform.
